The world is more connected now than ever, thus connecting with your prospective clients has never been easier, right? Not quite, this newfound connectivity has led to one of the most competitive markets in our history. Thus being targeted in our approach while utilizing content that provides value to potential consumers is vital.

After graduating from university, I spent the majority of 4 years living overseas (predominantly in South Korea) working initially in education. Through travel within the country, I met a non-profit organization that focused on showcasing all Korea had to offer & opening the dialogue between Koreans and foreigners residing in SK. They gave me an opportunity to join their team, and this bridged my prior experience in photography/videography into my career in digital marketing & SNS content creation. I spent 2 years meeting amazing people, visiting as many places as possible, and creating content that would initiate inter-cultural dialogue. This ultimately became the most successful once I began sourcing UGC content and working with content creators, most notably with the Gangnam city government to organize an influencer medical tour in their district.

Following the outbreak of the COVID19 pandemic, I returned to Canada and worked remotely in online ESL education, and ultimately came back to the field I love (digital marketing and SNS management). Currently I work as a Senior Marketing Specialist at Direct Energy.
